Anne Bond Bonpain is a board-certified OB/GYN who has cared for women at Cary OB/GYN for over 20 years, starting directly out of residency in this well-established and respected practice. She provides both obstetrical and gynecological care for women of all ages and performs minor surgical procedures in the office and major surgeries at WakeMed Cary.

Born and raised in eastern NC, she attended college and medical school at UNC Chapel Hill, followed by residency at Carolinas Medical Center (now Atrium) in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Bonpain was thrilled to return to the Triangle area and has called Cary home since then. She loves the small-town feel the city has provided, which has allowed years of continuity of care, helping her develop close, long-term relationships with her patients and personalize their care to where they are in life. Over the years, she has guided many women through two decades of life-changing events, from teenagers to becoming young working mothers and from young mothers to transitioning through menopause and empty nesters.

Dr. Bonpain is known for taking the time to sit and listen to her patients’ individual stories, focusing on what they are experiencing, personalizing her approach, and incorporating her patients’ goals and concerns into her plan. She believes that by spending this extra time and working together with her patients, they can find the best treatment options for each individual, as one size does not fit all in medicine, much less in life. Dr Bonpain now works part-time, and while she does not see new patients at the practice, she does see all existing Cary Ob/Gyn patients, regardless of who they have seen previously in the office.

When not in the office, Dr Bonpain loves to escape into nature, enjoying long walks with her golden retriever, Archie, hiking trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and sinking her toes into the sand next to the rolling waves at Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle. She also loves listening to music, watching movies, and especially hanging out with her two kids, family, and friends.
