Courtney Braswell is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Cary OBGYN.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1999.  She began her career at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC, as a Postpartum/Antepartum nurse.  Shortly thereafter, she married and moved to the Raleigh area, where she pursued her dream of becoming a Labor and Delivery nurse at WakeMed Cary Hospital.  There, she received the prestigious Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

Because Women’s Health was her passion, Courtney decided to further her education and obtain a master’s degree in nursing.  She graduated from the University of South Alabama in December of 2020 and obtained her National Board Certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in January of 2021.

Courtney works well at Cary OBGYN alongside many familiar faces.  Her two-decade-long relationship with many of the providers allows her to feel right at home at this new location.  She enjoys the professional relationships that she has long fostered, while getting to know new patients in this more relaxed environment.

Courtney resides in Garner with her husband, their three boys, and the newest member of their family, rescue pup Buck. In her spare time, she enjoys family activities such as camping, boating, gardening, and attending her sons’ baseball games.
